Since 1904, our dedicated New England craftsmen have used high quality materials and traditional cabinetmaking techniques to design and manufacture safe, sturdy and innovative toys, furniture and storage systems that set the standard for quality and value. Today, you’ll find Whitney Brothers products in schools, childcare centers, Headstart facilities and private homes throughout North America. Where quality and value are imperative, you simply can’t make a better product choice.
An A+ For Strength And Safety
Long before Congress passed the Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) and established new safety standards for children’s products, we at Whitney Brothers had developed our own set of strict safety guidelines. We’re not merely a business; we’re also parents and grandparents whose love of children demands uncompromising attention to all aspects of safety. The smooth rounded edges of our hardwoods and veneers employ the strongest woodworking joints and are finished by hand. We also design extra-wide spaces between doors and frames and use full-length continuous hinges to prevent little fingers from getting pinched. Special care is also given to ensure that all small parts such as knobs, handles, hooks, magnets and moving parts are smooth, rounded, and firmly attached to prevent breaking free under rigorous use. Our state-of-the-art finishes are made right here in the US and meet the most stringent safety requirements. Before any of our products are delivered to customers, each one must pass a 45-point safety inspection that far exceeds CPSIA standards.* And we’re proud to say that every product we manufacture has received the prestigious GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certification® and the more stringent Children & Schools® Certification, ensuring they are the safest products available in the market today.
Our philosophy is simple: We set continuously higher standards of safety, quality and value because we believe our products should last for generations of use.
